> Draft, 19 October 2026. These terms are a plain-words draft for review before launch and are not yet in force.

## 1. Who we are

Assure is provided by Symbolia ("we", "us"). You can reach us at billy@symbolia.ai.

## 2. What Assure is

Assure is a check that runs in your pull request or through our API. It reads what you send it, compares it with the rules we hold and with the requirements you state, and returns a reading: for each rule, holds, not established or disproven, with its evidence. [What a verdict claims](/docs/scope) states exactly what a reading means and what it does not.

## 3. What a reading is not

A reading is information. It is not a certification, a warranty that your software is secure or fit for purpose, or an approval to deploy. Every answer carries fixed flags that say so (`release_allowed: false` and the rest). What you change, merge or deploy is your decision.

## 4. Your account and keys

Your account is your GitHub owner when the Action signs in with your workflow's identity, or the account we issue a key to. Keep keys secret; a key you pass is used as yours. Tell us if a key is exposed and we will revoke it.

## 5. Plans, payment and usage

Accounts start on the free plan with the credit the docs state. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe at the prices on [the pricing page](/pricing). Each paid plan includes one monthly pool of usage; usage beyond it is charged only when you have turned on usage billing and set a budget, at the rate the docs state, and is sent to Stripe once a month. You can cancel in Stripe at any time; the account returns to the free plan at the next webhook. Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it.

## 6. Your data

[Your data](/docs/data) says what the Action collects, what leaves your runner, what the server keeps and for how long, and what we never read. We use your data to run the check for you. We use it to improve the product only when you have opted in. We do not sell it.

## 7. Acceptable use

Use Assure only on systems you are authorised to read. Do not send credentials, personal data or secrets in free-text fields such as feedback notes. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or to reverse-engineer the rules we hold beyond what the docs publish.

## 8. Availability and changes

Assure is in early access. We may change features, limits and prices, and we will say so on [the changelog](/changelog). We aim for the service to be available, and we state its health at [the status page](/status), but we do not promise uninterrupted availability.

## 9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from Assure is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for loss that follows from acting on, or not acting on, a reading.

## 10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. If a term is unenforceable, the rest stand.
